University and knowledge transfer PDF Print E-mail

Technology and Business Incubation centres are important partners for company start-ups emanating from the Universities. 60% of the companies in the TIGZ have been set up by university graduates. These knowledge-based, technology and innovation-oriented start-ups and Young Enterprises will help to make our Society sustainable and anchor the economy for its future development.

businessplan_competition  The cooperation with FH Wiesbaden focusses on the topic business plan. Students of International Industrial Engineering and Management carry out research and conduct analyses for Young Enterprises in the TIGZ, also acting as corporate consultants, at the same time preparing themselves for their future careers. A panel of experts evaluates the plans and awards a monetary prize to the winning team.

The business plan competition is a boon for the companies in the TIGZ, as the students generate new ideas and examine systematically the performance of the Young Enterprises.  The students acquire start-up know-how and pass this on. They learn entrepreneurial thinking and receive the tools of the trade they will need to survive even in big companies where innovative ideas, products and services must be constantly tested for marketability.

For more information on the business plan competition see TIGZ-Newsletter 2/07 / Press report 4/07
